We’re a diverse team, but our purpose is the same:

To bring soft-skills into the classroom, and change the lives of middle school and high school students around the world. We hope you’ll join us in our revolution.

Our Founders

Softserve - Annee Ngo

Annee Ngo

Annee’s foray into entrepreneurship was foreshadowed at an early age, having participated in every student club imaginable, from Trivia Club to Student Council, where she sat as president in grade 12 (overachiever much?) Her impressive high school career led her to study at New York University, The University of British Columbia, and the University of Toronto. Now, as the Co-Founder and CEO of SoftServe, Annee is passionate about encouraging soft-skills development in high school and middle school students and credits her passion for social-emotional learning to Mr. Jackson, her favorite high school teacher.

Fast Facts

  • Annee is the recipient of BC Business’ 30 Under 30 and the Women Tech Founders award in Gaming/AR/VR
  • Her favorite subjects in school were Philosophy and Stats (a math wiz AND a budding philosopher – what can’t Annee do?!)
  • Her first job was at Arby’s where she may have sampled a fry or two

Rukshana Hassanali

It was a deep curiosity and fascination with the human mind that led Rukshana to study Psychology at Simon Fraser University, with a focus on behavioral neuroendocrinology (I had to look up what that was, too). Rukshana’s passion for people and art (oh yeah, she also curated art shows for the BC Psychological Association), eventually led her to a Brand Marketing Role with PressReader where she met fellow SoftServe Co-Founder, Annee, and the rest is history. As the Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of SoftServe, Rukshana leads the team’s marketing efforts, and is proud to be a part of the growing soft-skills revolution.

Fast Facts

  • Rukshana’s first job was at A&W where she was rumored to have made the world’s best onion rings
  • Her favorite soft-skill? Communication, as it fuels how we express ourselves and
    interact with one another
  • Rukshana’s passion for the English language started in high school, thanks to her favorite teacher, Ms. Church
Mike Le

Mike Le

Passionate about technology and AI and its ability to unite us, Mike Le’s engineering career began in 2000 with a job as a software engineer at Hewlett-Packard during his second year at the University of Alberta. It was during this time that Mike’s passion for technology became more specialized, and he began pursuing AI, first as a hobby as a member of his university’s Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Club, and later on in a professional capacity after graduating in 2002 with a specialization in Math and Computer Engineering. With experience as a software engineer, IT manager, CTO, and software architect and consultant under his belt, it was no surprise when Mike garnered the attention of SoftServe. Now, as the team’s CTO, Mike is proud to be leading a much-needed soft-skills revolution, using his passion for AI to fuel SoftServe’s proprietary technology.

Fast Facts

  • Mike was born in Vietnam and immigrated to Canada in 1990
  • When he’s not hacking the mainframe, you can find Mike playing tennis or badminton
  • A self-proclaimed “foodie”, Mike loves seafood and the finer things in life, but don’t ask him to cook for you, that’s where his passion for the culinary world ends
